Okay so i just started a competition with some co workers to see who can loose the most weight in 3 months! need some tips please if you know any or like an actually meal plan something affordable and eatable plzzz help!! i am 23 years old weigh about 165lbs and im 5.4" tall.

You are def gonna want to start an intensive cardio routine. Let's say you run or jog 3-4 days a week. I used to burn 300 calories in 30 minutes and 600 calories if I stayed on the treadmill for an hour. Interval training is best and it's really easy. On the treadmill for the first minute just walk. Then for the next 2 or 3 minutes kick up your speed to 3.5 and then walk a minute and then kick it up for 6.0 and once you burn 100 calories in 10 minutes your doing great. I would burn the 100 calories in 8 minutes so I would have 2 minutes of walking so I could rest and catch my breathe and drink some water. I used to do this and it works. You don't want to hustle and bust your butt by running too fast cuz you tire out more easily. Anyway I would start some kind of cardio such as running or even that eliptical machine and you got to do it for 30-45 minutes a day I would say. Your 23, same as me, so you should be fine. On your day off go to Barnes and Noble and just read some books in the section diet and exercise.. they got some really good books and I spent 2 hours there the other day just reading. it's relaxing to be there, without a tv or a phone or parents bf etc bugging you,, just you alone.. in peace.. and reading the books is very motivating.. there is a book called skinny chicks.. or the secret of skinny chicks and another called skinny bitch.. and they tell you what they eat, what they do for work outs etc. That is the best advice I would give. They will give you really good meal ideas breakfast lunch and dinner. Along with the cardio, you will want to do strength exercises as well.. look up you tube for different arm exercises such as tri ceps. there are like 3 good moves for your tri ceps alone. I understand your intentions for wanting to lose weight. I was 165 pregnant and I am 5'1… I lost most of it now and I am 127 but for my height I want to be around 120-125. Best of luck with you, Just get the will power to stick with a diet and exericise routine and you will do great!

i used to be thin and i stil am fairly but i have gained a bit of weight lately, mainly cos i havent had time to go to the gym as i have been so busy, any help would be apreciated

Unfortunately you cannot lose weight "quick and fast." Losing weight and gaining muscle is a long term process that takes time. The best solution is by doing a lot of cardio, because it burns calories and increases your endurance. If you just want muscle training go back to the gym, but beware that if you gain too much muscle and then let it atrophy it will give you stretch marks on your body.

Ignore those pill or lose weight fast scams. They don't work and are only things that will scam you out of your money. A PROPER diet and exercise is the only thing that will help you lose weight, along with supplements you will lose weight faster (but not fast) and have better work out sessions, etc.

By proper diet I mean do not cut fat out entirely, or even in low amounts. You should eat the government recommended diet. Studies have shown that government recommended diet actually is the healthiest eating solution, surprisingly (I never would have thought anything government recommended would be the best solution and I'm a political science major). If you cut out fat it will cause your body to go into starvation mode, so that when you resume your regular diet, you will actually gain weight more, because your body is trying to store fat in case of another "diet" that you do.

I'm 22 and I have cut soda and stoped eating junk. I'm a lot more active now that the weather is good. I haven't lost a pound. I'm getting marriedn in september and I have a strapless gown and I don't want to look like a cow. How can I lose weight fast but thats still safe for me?

I was wondering if Running would be a good exercise for me?
I was planning on to start running in the summer. I'm 15 and I've always been interested in running and swimming. So i was wondering if Running would be a good way to slim down. I want to have just a flat body. I don't want to go into Body building and such, 'cause that's not for me. So would someone let me know if over the summer Running would be a good way for me to get a slim and flat stomach. Thanks.

Running at your age of 15 is very good.

Swimming is better than running and it affects your whole body.

Do remember that if you become crazy you may be in troubles.

Sweating may help to only those few people who take diet which has more tendency for retaining water in the body. Sweating may reduce weight for 8 to 12 hours and the next day you started about with almost the same weight.

Dieting, in the popular meanings, or starving will hurt your internal health and decrease your resistance against disease, do not go on dieting.

Generally weight is increased because of fats deposits, fat deposits become more in days of pregnancy. You can lose weight, just dissolve them. How?

Some people go for losing weight by pills, starving or a particular type of diet items. It is good that you avoid pills.

Medicinal tablets do not act effectively and for longer durations. Pills have many side effects for your health.

Starving weakens you and your defense system is also weakened. This makes you less resistant against infections and other diseases.

A selection of diet items generally gives you an imbalance diet which can cause many complications including some illness problems.

The best way is to lose weight by change of diet and your physical activities.

1. Take maximum citrus fruits; be sure you are not suffering from any throat Infection.
2. Reduce or stop to take oils and fats.
3. Stop taking sugar and glucose mainly tea, coffee & cold drinks. You can use natural honey for sweetness.
4. Stop taking potato, rice, corns etc.
5. Reduce wheat and corn as much as possible.
6. Take four glass of water (4 X 160ml) in the morning without washing your mouth, then wait for 45 minutes to take any diet. This will drain toxic material from your body and help in maintaining your health.
If you can, join a gym for instrumental exercise to build your muscles but it will be a slow and gradual process.

Take vegetables, boiled meat and fruits including sweet fruits like dates and mango.

And at the top of all:

Walk at least 40 to 60 minutes with spells of jogging from 5 to 10 minutes or more, if you can, twice a day. If you are not habitual of walk start with a walk of 10 minutes and increase gradually.

You can make necessary changes according to your age and activities.

The above tips may help you feel lose of weight to the extent of daily difference.

I've always been heavy and I need some motivation to lose weight. I need to know what motivates others. I also am wondering if anyone wants someone to either, compete with or for motivational purposes. I would love that. Whats an effective and fast way to lose weight. So, I feel better about myself.

actually…the only way to lose weight and keep it off is by exercising…running is one of the best ways…and i'm talking long distance running….kind of like cross country…trust me…i know…i got hurt during track season (which was about the middle of april) and had to quit running and i havent been able to run since…and since i have quit exercising…i've gained 18 pounds already…i know it doesnt sound like a lot but it actually is for it only being a couple of months….and when i got hurt….it was like my team abandoned me saying…we dont need you anymore…i felt totally used….like i thought all the people on my team were my true friends….we hung out a lot and did a lot of stuff together…but i guess they werent…i'm ready to be released so that i can show them just how much they really need me and how much i help the team…i guess that's my motivation right now…if that helps any

Total weightloss means being VERY active!

Confidence is key, weightloss is hard, but worth it for your health, its the most valuable thing you have… protect it and defend it!

Get outside and be active, run, walk, rollerblade, bike, SWIM, get some small weights, a workout DVD, push ups and sit ups every morning and night

Get into a routine, like when you get ready for bed, brush your teeth and do some squats, comb your hair and do sit ups, practice your school work and do psuh ups reciting the scientific elements…

Reward your self !
dont punish… run a block drink some juice, ride your bike, eat an apple

As for your stomach…
Abs are made in the kitchen!
Choose the foods you put in your mouth carefully…
eat whole foods, veggies, fruits, grains, dairy, meat, and take vitamins
prepackaged processed foods have too much sugar salt fat and carbs in them forget diets, fads, and pills

EAT SMARTLY, EXCERCISE EVERYDAY, SLEEP WELL, AND BE SUPER HAPPY!

I really need to lose weight and lower my blood pressure. What is a diet that would address these issues?? I just realized that my microwave meals are LOADED with sodium. I am not a very good cook, also.

Processed foods are loaded with all kinds of different salts, as you’ve found out.

Any diet that makes you lose weight will also make your bloodpressure go down as you do.

Dark chocolate (min 70% cocoa) also has some unique ingredients that lower bloodpressure, but you have to take the calories into account.

You don’t have to cook much. Cook big stuff when you do cook, and cook it without salt. Then throw it in some tupperware and in the fridge or freezer. Keep in mind that you do require SOME salt - but not much.

I have been running/walking (half/half) for 40 minutes a night, daily on my treadmill. For about a week now. And I haven’t changed my eating habits, only that I’m exercising nightly. Would I still be able to lose weight?

The gist of the whole thing is this - is your exercise enough to create a caloric deficit?

Meaning you burn more than you eat. If that’s the case, you’ll lose weight.

For easy understanding, if you burn 2,000 calories and assuming you consume say 1,500 calories, then you create a caloric deficit of 500 per day - this is waht I mean you burn more than you consume.

Normally exercise alone is hard for you to get this kiind of caloric deficit - you got to exercise hard and frequent.

A combination of exercise and healthy diet is easier to achieve caloric deficit to lose weight.
