If you don't know how they fast for Ramadan, they get up before the sun comes up, they eat, then they don't eat till the sun goes down, then they eat. Basically, the only times they can eat is when the sun isn't up.
I'm 5'3", 138lbs. I'm not doing this to lose weight, I'm doing this with my boyfriend who's father is Muslim.
I would like to lose weight, though.
Thanks in advance!
Right. That's important. The kinds of food I'd eat when I can eat.
Well, in the morning, I'll have some cereal and a vitamin (not sure if those are allowed?)
And in the evening/night, I'll have whatever I want..like, today was my first night..and I had a piece of steak, rice, beans, and pasta… A lot, and I know it's not supposed to be THAT much, but…*shrug* It'll probably be about that much food each night..
It depends on how much and the type of food you will eat after sundown!!!

Hi, I study nutrition, this is my 3rd year, and I’m also a Muslim, fasting can help in losing weight but not necessary, to lose weight all u have to do is just increase your out take by exercise and reducing your food intake, so if u just fast all day then have everything when u break your fasting then you don’t get what u are aiming for, you have to take meals that have all u need nutritionally in moderate amounts. I hope I helped good luck
