I'm 5'7" and weigh 180! I have a really cute face so I can meet guys but Im not in shape and im really self conscious of my body~ I don't meet guys the way that I used too and I just feel really uncomfortable ESPECIALLY in a swimsuit. I'm about a size 14/16 now and I really want to get down to a size 9 again. What are some tips to lose weight healthy but that I can stick with.

You definitely sound motivated to lose weight. To do it the healthy way you should eat healthy and have a fitness program that includes cardio and weight training. The weight training does not mean you'll be bulking up. You can do 10-15 reps per set of a light weight to tone your body. Muscle burns calories at a faster rate than fat does, so you're metabolism will increase. If you do cardio 3 times a week for 30-60 minutes a day you'll see significant results within a few weeks. Please don't give up if you don't see the results you want after the first week. It usually takes about 3 weeks or so to really see results. If you do everything the healthy way you should lose 1-2 lbs. per week. Good luck to you!

    I don't need to lose weight but I heard…

Drinking cold water will burn calories to get the water temp in your body back to normal…

Visit your doctor first to rule out any health issues. If that works out, then visit with a nutritionist or dietitician. Get your body moving; it need not be a 10k jog every day forever, but get out there and walk, ride a bike or get out a few stops before you normally would on your way to work or school.
The real trick here is to not try and rush things. It took you awhile to gain weight so give yourself a while to take off any excess weight. Ignore diet schemes; DIETS DON'T WORK and set realistic goals for yourself.

I am actually in the same boat with you. I am just a bit further in my discovery of the solution. I am 6'0 and used to weigh 195. I am not much of a gym kind of person so after much procrastination, I took up Pilates. I started going 2 times a week and am now up to 4 times a week. Pilates, if you aren't familar, is similar to yoga in that it involes a great deal of stretching. It is also something that tones your current body and the weight comes off. I have been doing it for about 6 months now and have gone down two pants sizes (from a 16 to a 12) and have lost about 28 pounds. The best part though is that though I am now exactly skinny, I am not flabby. My stomach, legs, thighs, and arms have musle tone and don't jiggle.

Good for you! You can do it. First, try cutting out ALL sugar drinks including fruit juices, soda, etc. Immediately double your water intake. Make sure you are exercising (walking is GREAT) at least 40 minutes per day is best, try a very fast walk. Keep healthy snacks on hand (boiled eggs, carrots, celery, raw almonds, apples, etc) for when you're really hungry in between meals. Meals….try to avoid alot of unnecessary starches (cut out potatoes, pasta, rice, UNLESS it is brown rice or whole wheat pasta.

    Hi
This plan worked for me so here goes,
If you are serious about losing weight, the calories in the food you eat should be less than the energy you use. You will have to increase your metabolic rate now, and plan your diet carefully.
Formulate your own weight loss plan and you will lose weight faster. More details available at http://tinyurl.com/m7ckx

    Good luck
